Most people would not even think these items are toxic to our pets.

Why is raw bread dough or any other type of dough so toxic to our dogs and cats?
Even if a small amount is ingested the unbaked dough can be dangerous. The unbaked dough will expand in the pet’s stomach. The stomach is a warm, moist environment which will cause the dough to expand. Your pet can suffer from a bloated stomach or could progress to twisting of the stomach – this is a less common result but still possible.
Symptoms:
- Vomiting
- Non-productive vomiting (retching)
- Elevated heart rate
- Bloated stomach
- Weakness
- Collapsing
- Death
