Why is Yeast so toxic to our dogs and cats?
The unbaked yeast will start to ferment inside the stomach. This process will produce carbon dioxide gas and alcohol. The carbon dioxide gas is what makes the bread rise. The Alcohol that is produce will be quickly absorbed into the bloodstream which in turn results in alcohol poisoning.
Ingestion of alcohol can cause dangerous drops in one or all of the following:
- Blood Sugars

Severely intoxicated animals can potentially experience seizures and respiratory failure
